What experiences are Scottish consumers currently having when shopping for food items? Between *** and **, 2022, approximately ** percent of responding Scottish shoppers were confronted with less variety in stores. A larger share of respondents in Scotland were faced with less variety than respondents from the rest of Britain.
A share of ** percent of responding consumers were unable to find replacement items for unavailable products. Less than a third of Scottish consumers have been spared these experiences and stated that they were not faced with any of the scenarios posted in the survey. Half a month later the share of people not experiencing any of the stated scenarios had grown by *** percent. More respondents (**%) stated they needed to go to more shops to get what they normally buy.
