Figures for injury and assault do not include those who were charged with aggravated offenses.
Figures for 鈥淧enetrative sexual assault鈥 before 2017 only include rape cases defined in the Penal Code before the partial amendment. From 2017 onward, figures also include 鈥渇orcible sexual intercourse.鈥 The amendments in 2023 redefined 鈥渇orcible sexual intercourse鈥 to 鈥渘on-consensual intercourse鈥 and raised the legal age of consent to 16 years from 13 years.
Figures for others include cases of kidnapping, violations of the Child Welfare Law, violations of the Act on Punishment of Activities Relating to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography, and the Protection of Children, among others.
