In August 2021, the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) questioned companies around the world on their plans for mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for employees to be able to participate in business trips. At the time of the survey, at least ** percent of all respondents answered that COVID-19 vaccinations were not mandatory for staff members to be eligible for international business travel, face-to-face meetings with clients and customers, and domestic business travel. While ** percent of businesses responded that employees would not need a COVID-19 vaccination to attend large conferences, ** percent were unsure about vaccine requirements for this specific activity.
