One in four young females in Africa was not in education, employment or training in 2021, according to the source's projections. The NEET rate was widely higher among women than men. As of the same year, around ** percent of young African males were jobless, outside the educational system, and not in training. Overall, the NEET rate in Africa was projected at **** percent, keeping an upward trend observed since 2012.
