In 2020, the commonly used online shopping location for buying e-books was Amazon, with almost ** percent of respondents in the United States reporting that they bought e-books there. Meanwhile, consumers in Germany were most likely to use online bookstores, and the Apple eBooks Store and iTunes were used by ** percent of U.S. survey participants. By contrast, less than ** percent of respondents from all countries in the study bought e-books directly from the publisher's website.
