Chile is one of the Latin American countries with the largest number of confirmed cases of COVID-19. As of August 20, 2023, the number of notified cases of the novel coronavirus, including those confirmed and probable, reached more than 5.6 million. Cases corresponding to women amounted to nearly three million, while those related to men attained approximately 2.6 million.
