As of March 2024, the installed base of anesthesia machines in Chilean hospitals was estimated at units. In 2020, the South American country made use of operating rooms, less than those of more populated Latin American countries such as Brazil and Mexico, but also fewer than the Dominican Republic. That year, Chile ranked sixth among nations with the largest amount of operating rooms in the region.
