Egypt scored 60.1 points in the ease of doing business, ranking it 114th out of 190 countries in 2020. Compared to the year prior, the country's score incremented by 1.54 points, which indicated an improvement in the business environment in the country. During the period under review, the indicator score dropped in 2016, after which it gradually took a positive trend. Economies scoring higher have regulations that are more friendly and simple, directed towards businesses.
