Latin America's share of global plastic material production 2014-2022
In 2022, Latin America's plastic production accounted for approximately four percent of the total global production of plastic materials, slightly down from a five percent share recorded in 2014. The global production of plastics in 2022 amounted to 400 million metric tons.
