A total of 29 African countries of the 54 were considered in the survey.

Based on a survey conducted between **** and ****, Togo was the country with the largest wine consuming population, as the share of the adult population who had consumed wine in the four weeks prior to the survey reached ** percent. Cameroon and Cote d'Ivoire followed with ** and ** percent, respectively. On the other hand, only percent of the population in Egypt and Mali had reported drinking wine within the previous four weeks.
