According to a survey conducted in April 2021, around **** percent of Italian workers had to stop working for at least two weeks in the previous 12 months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Reasons related to COVID-19 containment measures explained the largest part of this percentage. According to the data, almost ** percent of people who had to stop working did not resume doing so before *** month. Moreover, longer work interruptions were more common among women than among men.
