In March 2020, 38 percent of businesses in Australia sought to renegotiate rent or lease arrangements as an operational response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Australian businesses were also just as likely to have changed their method of service or product delivery. Interestingly, just over a quarter of businesses brought forward plans to invest, compared to 16 percent of businesses that differed or cancelled investment plans.
