In his November 7, 2020 speech, U.S. President Joe Biden promised to make the fight against global warming one of the "top priorities" of his time in office. When asked about this in late 2020, about *** out of three Canadians thought Biden would follow through on his promise and make tackling climate change a top priority. The Canadians most convinced by Biden's commitment were Quebecers, where nearly **** believed these claims.
The political shift made by the US President in announcing the return of the United States within the Paris climate agreement, shortly after his investiture, is one sign that Canadians' faith may not have been misplaced.
