At a time when environmental disasters seem to be happening with increasing regularity, most Canadians see climate change as a serious threat to the planet. Among the consequences of this change, the phenomena they are most concerned about are melting ice sheets, rising temperatures, and forest fires. Indeed, when surveyed in 2019, melting ice in Greenland and wildfires in the Amazon were the two phenomena that most influenced their desire for action to address global warming.
