The number of overseas arrivals to Australia by citizens of New Zealand reached approximately 52,280 in May 2021. While this figure represents a significant increase compared to the previous month, it is still a 65.8 percent decrease from May 2019. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian government began implementing travel restrictions in early 2020.
