In 2024, metallurgical coal accounted for the largest share of the net revenue of the British Columbian mining industry by far, at 52 percent. The second largest revenue-generating mineral commodity for B.C. that year was copper, which accounted for 22 percent of the B.C. mining industry's net revenue.Â
