The total value of mineral imports (including metals and coal) to Canada in 2024 stood at some 125.8 billion Canadian dollars, up from 83.2 billion Canadian dollars in 2015. The United States was by far the leading region from which Canada imported minerals from 2015 to 2024 based on value.
