In 2019, most hospitals in the UK, Germany, and France expected budgets to improve over the next five years. According to this survey, 78 percent of respondents in Germany and 56 percent of respondents in the UK believed that the hospital budget would moderately increase. While Germany and the UK held mostly positive expectations, French hospitals were less optimistic as to the future of hospital budgets. In 2019, nearly 40 percent of French respondents believed that the hospital budget would either not change or would decrease in the upcoming five years.
