The survey included respondents from 18 provinces, autonomous regions, and cities covering the northeast, north, east, south, central, northwest, and southwest parts of China. Seven regions were consistent with previous surveys.
The survey was based on a total of 1,072 valid samples, 531 from the life insurance questionnaire and 541 from the the property insurance questionnaire.

According to a consumer survey conducted in 2020, around ** percent of reposndents stated that not having enough money was the leading reason for not purchasing additional insurance policies within the next six months in China. Out of all participants, over ** percent of respondents expressed no desire to purchase additional insurances.
