A report on book readership in France found that about 70 percent of respondents got their e-books or digital audiobooks free of charge via a legal channel. This is good news for the digital book market, which continues to face problems linked to unpaid illegal access. Pay-as-you-go downloads were also a popular option, whereas less than 50 percent of respondents accessed e-books via digital library loans.
