Throughout the entire 2020, Brazilian consumers' spending on food outside their homes declined. From October to December 2020, the out-of-home food consumption index stood at ** points, ** points less than the baseline (as of the first quarter of 2019) and ** points lower than the index registered in the last quarter of 2019. In contrast, in-home food spending grew from *** index points in the fourth quarter of 2019 to *** points in the following year.
