In late 2018, roughly *** out of seven respondents to a worldwide survey said they were considering using cryptocurrency in the future. Whilst the majority of surveyed consumers either said outright they were not interested in the digital coin, or were not sure whether they might use it, the source called it "hopeful" that roughly ** percent said they were willing to try it out. Note this survey was held well before the second price surge of Bitcoin in late 2020 and early 2021.
