According to a survey of internet users in Italy, the mobile app category with the highest usage reach was chat apps, with roughly 95 percent of respondents using messaging mobile apps. Social networking apps also experienced a similarly high reach, with 93 percent of internet users in the country using this app category. Entertainment apps reached about 75.6 percent of the internet users population in Italy, while music apps and game apps reached comparably smaller audiences.
