Brazil's biogas energy generation capacity reported a mostly upward trend throughout the past decade. In 2025, the biogas capacity in the South American country added up to ***Â megawatts, an increase in comparison to the previous year. Brazil had by far the largest biogas capacity in Latin America in 2025, accounting for over half of the region's total.
