For most Belarusians, the opinion on religious leaders was not important neither when it came to their private lives nor when the society faces crises, according to a survey from December 2020. During social crises, like the political conflict between the government and the opposition in Belarus, 24 percent of respondents gave significance to views of religious leaders.
