According to a survey conducted by in February 2021, only close to a quarter of respondents stated to have increased the consumption of frozen food during the coronavirus pandemic.
Following the outbreak of the global pandemic, foodservice businesses were requested to close down or shorten opening hours in Japan. Furthermore, consumers were requested to remain at home and avoid going out unnecessarily.
