In anticipation of Ramadan in 2021, ** percent of respondents from the Middle East and North Africa are planning to subscribe to Netflix during this month. At the same time ** percent of respondents from the region plan on subscribing to the VoD service Shahid during Ramadan. Traditionally, the month of Ramadan is a prime season of media consumption in Arab countries. Ad spending for television and other medias are the highest due to a larger audience during this time of the year.

This year, Ramadan is expected to start by April 13th and end on May 12th with the three day festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
