The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic disrupted global travel in 2020 with many governments putting in place stay-at-home measures to limit the spread of the virus. According to a December 2020 study, respondents aged between 30 and 49 years were had the most confidence that they would travel in 2021, with ** percent of them having booked travel, currently planning to travel, or expect to travel. In contrast, less than half of respondents aged 50 or older claimed the same.
