Sustainable tourism is a way of travelling that focuses on minimizing the harmful impact of tourism on the natural environment. A global survey in 2020 revealed that ** percent of respondents stated that they believed hotel/accommodation providers were making little effort to be sustainable, while * percent believed they were making no effort at all. That being said, ** percent stated that they were making good progress but could do more, and * percent believed the sector were doing all they could to be sustainable. Meanwhile, ** percent of the respondents stated that cruise companies were making no efforts to be sustainable, with ** percent stating that they were making good progress but could do more.
