During the COVID-19 pandemic, which reached Norway in February 2020, the use of home office became an important part of the strategy to stem the spread of the virus. Working from home was most common for executives in Norway. In 2020, a total of 15.8 percent of executives had an agreement on working from home, out of which 8.6 percent did so often. Other occupations in which home office played a central role in 2020 were jobs related to education and academia.
