According to a survey carried out in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2020, almost 40 percent of sufferers with eye conditions agreed that they had experienced increased anxiety when going to hospitals because of fears due to COVID-19. Furthermore, just over a quarter strongly agreed that they had felt heightened anxiety when attending healthcare services after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
