As of 2019-20, Mobile revenues are now recognized on a gross basis and include commissions paid to store operators. This has resulted in an €29.2 million increase in sales (IFRS 15 sales and net bookings) and cost of sales. This change has not affected either operating or net income. The impact on back-catalog net bookings was €24.4million. For 2020-21, the expected impact is €50 million.

In the fiscal year 2024-25 (12 months ending March 2025), French gaming publisher Ubisoft generated close to 1.3 billion euros in net bookings via back-catalog sales. Ubisoft owns several long-running video game series, including the multi-platform franchises Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance, Tom Clancy's, and Watch Dogs. Sales of digital items, DLC, seasonal passes, subscriptions, and advertising amounted to also over one million euros for the measured fiscal period.
