During a 2020 survey conducted among teachers and educators in the Dominican Republic, approximately **** percent of respondents reported using WhatsApp to ensure pedagogical continuity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, nearly ** percent said they relied on email to continue providing education in these times. According to another survey, conducted this time among students in the Caribbean country, almost all of those interviewed said they used WhatsApp as a method to continue studying during the lockdown.
