During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, several canceled festivals and shows in Quebec organized virtual version of the events. A December 2020 survey asked people who had joined at least one online event if they would have taken part in the usual event in a no-pandemic scenario. Ultimately, ** percent of respondents claimed that, if the event had taken place as usual, they would have definitely participated. Meanwhile, ** percent of the survey sample believed they would have probably attended the event.
