According to a survey carried out in 2019, over ** percent of respondents in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico stated that, when choosing a travel destination, they would prefer to visit a less popular location in order to avoid crowds. Among the four countries surveyed, Colombians were the most keen to do so, with ** percent of respondents. That year, travelers from that country also showed the highest tourism environmental awareness in Latin America.
