In the third quarter of 2020, ** thousand unemployed people who had lost their job because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis in Tunisia did not return to work even after their employer restarted the business activity. Most of them attributed the cause to the company in which they used to work. Indeed, ** percent of the unemployed did not return to work because the business activities of the company were reduced, while ** percent did not go back to work due to financial difficulties of the company. Moreover, **** percent remained unemployed after their employers refused their return to work.
