South Korean Samsung was the most popular brand of household appliances in Russia in 2024, having been named by around ** percent of respondents. Bosch and LG also accounted for high household affinity rates, measuring at nearly ** and ** percent, respectively. 

Consumer electronics brand affinity in Russia

The dominance of foreign brands in the consumer electronics market of Russia is undeniable. Especially demanded are the brands of South Korean origin, with LG and Samsung sharing the leading positions. When looking at the smart home market, Samsung and Dutch Philips were among the leaders. If Samsung was the most voted for overall and smart home device ownership, LG led in the refrigerators and washing machines segments.

Household appliances trade

Even though Russia has its own electronic devices and household appliances' production, the country heavily relies on imports in this market. In the large appliances segment, TVs were the most imported commodity, while vacuum cleaners made up the largest import share in the small appliances market. Interestingly, the highest export share of small appliances from Russia was as well recorded for vacuum cleaners.
