* Expenditure on "tax free" operations that have completed the entire process from issuance to settlement. The data comes from stores affiliated with Global Blue that in the reference period and the previous year had registered sales to tourists. Transactions of less than 90.16 euros are excluded, in order to facilitate the comparability of the data. 90.16 euros is the former minimum purchase amount to receive the VAT refund, and it was eliminated in July 2018.
