5G mobile broadband technology is the fastest connection standard available, with user experience data rates of 100 megabits per second (Mbit/s). Even though 5G is very much in its infancy as a commercially available technology, research and development of 6G technology is underway. 6G is currently slated to enables user experience data rates of 1,000 Mbit/s.
