According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2019, eight percent of the respondents aged 35 to 44 years old would pay extra for live virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) commerce. The establishment of ** networks is considered a high priority for the country's plans of a smart society. Therefore, Japanese mobile carriers like NTT Docomo, SoftBank and Rakuten Mobile worked on building out their ** networks.
