The rate of somatic symptoms reported by U.S. adults in April and May 2020, coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic, was higher among caregivers than for noncaregivers. Body aches and fatigue are common somatic symptoms reported by caregivers, and often occur in combination with psychological distress. This statistic shows the percentage of U.S. respondents who reported select somatic symptoms in the last seven days, by caregiver status, as of May 2020.
