A 2021 poll conducted among privacy experts worldwide showed that business-to-business standard contractual clauses (SCC) were the most common method for data transfer from the EU to non-EU countries. Additionally, ** percent of respondents stated their companies resorted to additional technical safeguards. In comparison, four percent used the EU U.S. Privacy Shield, an agreement allowing U.S. companies to fulfill the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
