The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic impacted the Tunisian economy. In 2020, the country's real gross domestic product (GDP) declined significantly by *** percent. Nevertheless, projections made in December 2020 showed that the country's economy would recover in 2021 and 2022, with a positive growth of the GDP.
Previous estimates conducted in June 2020 expected the Tunisian GDP to contract by **** percent in 2020, contrary to the subsequent projections. Moreover, before the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the country's real GDP was supposed to grow by *** percent in 2020 and *** percent in 2021.
