PJM Interconnection is the largest regional transmission organization and largest independent system operator in the United States. In June 2020, it generated gigawatt hours of electricity, more than Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), and Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). PJM is headquartered in Pennsylvania and serves parts of most Mideastern states from New Jersey to Virginia and Delaware to Indiana. Natural gas and nuclear power are its greatest sources of electricity generation.
