Based on pharmacy claims of those who filled at least one prescription for mental health medication in 2019, about 50 percent of patients who use a medication for anxiety or insomnia also use an antidepressant. This statistic shows the percentage of patients (excluding those on government-sponsored benefits) in the U.S who filled a prescription for antidepressants in addition to other select medications in 2019, by condition.
