The survey was conducted among Chinese parents who:
34.77 percent lived in cities, 32.96 percent lived in rural areas, 32.27 lived in county towns;
10.39 percent had children aged under six years, 79.73 percent had 7-12 year old children, 8.33 percent had 13-15 year old children, 1.55 percent had 16-18 years old children;
22.21 percent fathers, 74.1 percent mothers, 2.09 percent grandparents, 1.61 percent others.
