In an attempt to reactivate the economy strongly impacted by the nationwide lockdown implemented to contain the spread of COVID-19, Colombia's government designated a series of tax-free shopping days in 2020. Given its success, the event was held in 2021 and planned again for 2022. In its two editions in 2022, the "dÃas sin IVA" culminated in approximately *** million online transactions and e-commerce sales of almost *** trillion Colombian pesos.
