A diffusion index indicates urban depositors income change in the observed quarter. The index is derived by calculating the proportions of respondents who answered that their employment expectation for the next quarter were "good", "normal", and "bad", assigning weights 1, 0.5, and 0 to them respectively. Finally, the average is calculated.
