Chile recorded its first confirmed case of COVID-19 on March 3, 2020. Exactly 16 days later, Chilean president Sebastian Piñera declared a 90-day state of catastrophe giving the government extraordinary powers to restrict freedom of movement and try to assure food supply and basic services.

The question was posed as follows: "Antes y durante la crisis sanitaria por COVID 19, ¿con qué frecuencia realiza compras? Con una escala de 1 a 5, donde 1 es 'Muy bajo' y 5 es 'Muy alto'".
