A survey measuring levels of engagement with the 2020 election revealed that interest in following news on the subject increased with age, with 30 percent of Americans aged 65 and older following news about candidates very closely. By comparison, only 12 percent of those aged 18 to 29 years old were paying close attention to election news, making this group the least engaged overall.
